Susan Gaszczak has been a member of the Liberal Democrats for over 20 years. She sits on the Party's Federal Policy Committee with Nick Clegg MP and Danny Alexander MP, where they have been working hard to set out the policies that will form the manifesto 'Change that works for you - building a fairer Britain'.
Susan also sits on Federal Conference Committee. She recently attended the Party's Spring Conference where she made speeches on ending child detention for immigration purposes and the stupidity of Child Tax Funds, many of which are worth less than they were when they were issued.
Susan has been involved in regional politics for several years and was Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group on the Regional Assembly and Chair of the Regional Local Government Employers Panel as well as being Deputy Leader of her council group.
Susan is a Communications Consultant by trade and works for organisations and political parties in the East of England. Susan is a single mum of three children, Matthew, Sarah and Rachel.

"How can you possibly take on such a large financial commitment as Trident without considering the military and political implications? If fierce cuts are to be made in Britain's conventional forces, surely we have to consider whether replacing Trident can be justified. "

"With most of their leadership contenders claiming to back AV for a fairer voting system, it is astonishing they now wish to block the legislation to make that happen. Each and every Labour MP campaigned on a manifesto committing to a referendum. Now they have the opportunity to make this happen but have chosen to say no for opposition's sake. "
Simon Hughes MP
